During the course of their 65-year marriage, she was a member of the Board of Trustees at the Township Auditorium, and both she and Joe were members of the “Friday the 13th Club” and “The Media Club.” During this time, they made numerous charitable contributions to the local community. Peggy sang in the choirs of three different Methodist churches: Cayce United Methodist Church, Trinity United Methodist Church in Blythewood, and the Laurel Crest Retirement Community Choir. Pinner, who spent 55 years in television, mostly at WIS. Peggy Pinner was a resident of Jacksonville, Florida, and she was featured on the statewide “Toby Dowdy Show” on WMBR-TV (WJXT). Longtime WIS broadcaster Joe Pinner is the center of the new exhibit, titled Not Your Average Joe: Mr. Peggy began performing as a member of a singing trio known as The Almarettes in 1956.

She also ran her own marketing company, South Carolina Connections, which promoted the state of South Carolina in the Northeast and the Midwest.
